How do I start a new interview?

From the dashboard, paste or select a job description, pick an interview type and optionally a target company, then hit **Start New Session**. You can also run an onsite loop that chains several rounds back-to-back.

Do I need an account?

Most features work without an account, but signing in lets us save your interviews and practice attempts so you can revisit them on the Profile page.

Can I target a specific company?

Yes. Pick a company on the landing page (Citadel, Jane Street, Two Sigma, HRT, Optiver, Jump, Goldman, JPMorgan, etc.) and the interviewer will adopt that firm's style, question mix, and tone.

How long does an interview take?

You choose the duration when you start. Typical ranges are 30–60 minutes per round. The timer is visible during the interview and the session wraps up automatically when time runs out.

Can I run my code during the interview?

Yes. Coding rounds include a Monaco editor with Python, C++, and Java support. You can run your code against sample tests at any time; the interviewer sees your submissions and reacts to them.

Is there a whiteboard for system design?

Yes. System design rounds include a diagram whiteboard. Your current diagram is automatically included in your answers so the interviewer can reason about it.

What is Practice?

Practice (left nav) is solo practice mode. Work through individual problems at your own pace. Every attempt is graded and logged alongside your live interviews.

How is my performance scored?

After each session, Claude evaluates your transcript (and code, if any) on correctness, communication, and domain-specific criteria, then produces a scorecard with per-question feedback, strengths, and areas to improve.

Where do I see my scorecard?

Immediately after the session you're taken to the Debrief page. You can also revisit any past scorecard from your Profile page.

Can I delete a past interview?

Yes. On the Profile page, open the interview record and use the delete action. The record is removed from your history.

Can I upload my resume?

Yes. Behavioral rounds accept a resume upload (PDF or DOCX). The parsed text is passed to the interviewer so questions can probe your actual experience.

The interviewer isn't talking to me — what gives?

Text-to-speech uses your browser's audio output. Check that your browser tab isn't muted, your system volume is up, and that you haven't blocked autoplay. Text responses appear in the transcript regardless.

My session disconnected. Is my progress lost?

The backend holds session state for the duration of the interview, so reloading the page usually reconnects you. If the session is completely gone, start a fresh one — sessions aren't recoverable once the server restarts.

My code isn't running. What should I check?

Accepted Answer

Make sure you've selected the right language (Python / C++ / Java), that your code compiles, and that your function signature matches the one in the problem. Runtime errors and compile output are shown beneath the editor.
